This idea of generating hydrogen fuel from effluents can achieve the same for the industries. However, Suruchi’s idea was not feasible because it would require a large bioreactor. Such large reactors are not feasible for public implementation. This is true since majority of the people do not own enough space to accommodate large bioreactors. Therefore, she created bioreactors that were smaller than the usual bigger bioreactors.
She created modular bioreactors that were compact but effective. Moreover, she fitted them with automation and IoT capabilities. Through the IoT capabilities, the bioreactors could connect with each other to create a network of reactors. The IoT capabilities meant that the reactors could be remotely controlled and monitored. Thus, if you searched for a network of reactors that could create a large batch of hydrogen fuel, you could build it. This made the mini bioreactors scalable and easy to implement in different settings.
The bioreactors have a further advantage of AI and ML capabilities that ensure that the bioreactor works automatically when the water’s carbon content becomes high. Thus, you get a bioreactor that not only works wonders in reducing the carbon content of wastewater but also harvests it to create hydrogen fuel as an alternate fuel. Rao’s product is also smart and automated. Therefore, it is in great demand in the national and international markets. There are many key industries that use Rao’s products today. The product has been endorsed by one of the biggest steelmakers in India. In addition to this, the innovative bioreactor is in use at many oil and gas companies globally. This compact bioreactor can go a long way in reducing the carbon footprint of industries with large waste production capacities.
