This new move from Verizon will include a high-speed 5G network and IoT developments into its suite of services offered to its customers. Verizon's new series of features for its IoT devices are set to benefit different verticals of society and industries. From manufacturing, transport, retail chain management to public safety, the new developments have the power to transform multiple spheres of human lives.
The new features offered range from customer-facing solutions, intelligent services to smart hardware solutions. Verizon has ramped up IoT feature deployment by allowing IoT devices to connect with its high-speed 5G Nationwide network on low-cost data plans. Although the features are in the testing phase, they will benefit the industries to a huge extent once fully deployed. Verizon's new developments will combine intelligent features with device analytics and network connectivity under a common dashboard. This increases the convenience and accessibility of IoT services through Verizon's devices. These capabilities and features are now available on the Verizon Thingspace for customer trials. The next step to making IoT capabilities available on 5G Nationwide is the availability of the same on 5G Ultra Wideband. These features will be available on the Ultra-Wideband in the first quarter of 2022.
Verizon has the aim of becoming a single-stop provider of broadband and narrowband connectivity solutions. The company also aims at being the provider of both 5G and LTE bandwidth services. From intelligence to hardware, Verizon has been expanding its applications in different industrial verticals. Moreover, Verizon and its team are actively working on reducing costs, enhancing efficiencies, and increasing the accessibility of new-age IoT devices. With higher network connectivity at plans as low as $1, Verizon plans to make its IoT capabilities publicly accessible. Verizon aims at providing impetus to pioneers of innovation, new companies, and customers through low-cost plans. The IoT intelligence suite of Verizon ThingSpace includes a highly intelligent analytical dashboard, device diagnostics services, and location services that enhance network security and connectivity for companies. With the help of the new range of IoT services, customers will be able to anticipate and detect threats to the network easily. With an eye on cybersecurity and network infrastructure, Verizon has introduced new features into its suite of IoT capabilities.
The suite of features includes Wireless Network Performance analytics that gives insight into a wireless network's performance parameters, coverage extent, and security level. The suite will also include Anomaly detection by the end of 202+9*1, a feature that studies the device performance pattern through Machine Learning capabilities to detect atypical behavior in the patterns. Apart from this, Verizon also plans to launch Network coordinated FOTA management software for 5G enabled IoT devices in the near future.
