Xiaomi taking a leap by launching new IoT products: Xiaomi becomes the fastest brand to sell 100 million smartphones in 5 years

Xiaomi, the Chinese phone maker company along with its peers have completely eradicated the Indian smartphone players such as Lava, Karbonn, and Micromax. Xiaomi is holding the market for smartphones strong enough since 2014.

Xiaomi recently took a step towards bringing in certain IoT products to meet the growing technological needs of the customers such as fitness bands, air purifiers, Mi TVs. In recent addition, Xiaomi also announced the launch of a new smart product into the category of smart home lighting.

On Tuesday, Xiaomi launched a latest smart TV at a price of Rs.17, 999 along with smart fitness bands and water purifiers. The latest Mi Smart TV series comes in three size variants Mi TV 4 X-65 inches, Mi TV 4X-50 inches and Mi TV 4X-43 inches. The patch wall of this series is upgraded to Android 9 Pie with combined integration of Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Another latest addition to the Xiaomi India family is the Mi Smart Water Purifier which is initially launched only for India. The smart purifier comprises of RO+UV at a price of Rs.11, 999. Under the category of smart home lighting, Mi launched the motion-activated smart night light for Rs.500.

Xiaomi has launched many IoT products in the past such as fitness bands, air purifiers, and Mi TVs. Xiaomi is widely popular for its smartphones but the growth rates of the company are also multiplying due to few other segments of the company. These segments include internet business from Mi Music and Mi Video, Retail business from offline and e-commerce stores and IoT devices such as Mi TVs, air purifiers and fitness bands.

Xiaomi has recently become the fastest brand to sell over 100 million smartphones in India within the last five years. Xiaomi is therefore now the fourth leading smartphone brand in all over the world and is inching step-by-step towards implementing the latest technologies such as IoT.
