Debbie Power of Vodafone believes that NB-IoT, 5G and M2M in Ireland

The Internet of Things country manager of Vodafone, Debbie Power is leading a team of specialist who is in charge of managing the Internet of Things services of Vodafone as well as the solution all around Ireland.

The NB-IoT came to life in the year 2017. Since the launch of the Narrowband Internet of Things, Power has been in charge of supervising the network's roll-out. For some time now Vodafone has provided its yearly Internet of Things Barometer which concluded that more than one-third of businesses are currently using the Internet of Things. Around 70PC of the adopters have reportedly moved from the pilot stage and around 95pc of the adopters are witnessing the benefits that come from the investing in NB-IoT. These 95pc adopters have become mainstream.

According to Power, given that the survey says that only 34pc of the people are using this IoT technology, it is a positive indication that the tech is making its mark. By the looks of it, things with the tech are currently in the right direction, and they are increasing in a significant way. The statistics also say that around 8pc of the businesses are entirely dependent on the utilization of IoT, which is an excellent piece of news for the company.
