IEEE Global Conference on Internet of Things (2019 IEEE GCIOT) , 2019 IEEE GCIoT aims to provide a forum for researchers from both academic and industry fields to share their latest research contributions and exchange knowledge with the common goal of shaping the future of IoT and smart sustainable cities. Contributed papers are solicited describing original works in these fields and related technologies.The 2017 and 2018 GCIoT was held last two years at Bibliotheca Alexandrina and welcomed more than 850 attendees, Tens of keynote speeches and discussion panels with plenty of international speakers, attendees, and moderators, establishing the conference as a success and the regions foremost forum for IoT innovation. 2017 and 2018 GCIoT conference have consisted of keynote speeches, discussion panels, and technical sessions.
2019 IEEE GCIoT will continue the success of its predecessor and this year program will include paper presentations, poster sessions and project demonstrations, along with prominent keynote speakers and industrial and government l-focused workshops. There will be three tracks in the conference: technical track, governmental track, and industrial track. The industrial track will include a one-day focused Industry summit. 2019 IEEE GCIoT is sponsored by the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS), IEEE Communication Society IoT committee, IEEE R8, IEEE UAE Section, Dubai University, Zayed University, 5G world Alliance, IPV6, Bog Al Arab Innovation cluster and National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).We project that expect hundreds of scientific researchers, research groups, and industries submit proposals for program sessions to be held at the conference. After extensive peer review, the best of the proposals will be selected for the conference program, which includes technical papers, tutorials, workshops and industry sessions designed specifically to advance IoT technologies, systems, and infrastructure that are continuing to reshape the world and make our cities smarter and more sustainable. This 3-day event includes several keynote speeches by distinguished speakers from industry, academia and government sectors; panels and forums; technical sessions featuring technical papers extensively reviewed by peers; workshops focusing on the latest trends in various IoT related technologies; tutorials delivered by experts in respective disciplines; exhibits; and a relaxing and entertaining banquet.
The terminology “Internet of Things” gives a vision of a world where everything is connected from people to machines to whole enterprises and plants for the greater good of making people lives better and making the planet a more convenient place to live in.
The Global Conference on IoT (2019 IEEE GCIoT) tends to help our brilliant participants, researchers and professionals share experiences and discuss up-to-minute information and technological facts. The theme of the conference is “Smart Sustainable Cities” in recognition of the ongoing evolution in the MENA region that focuses on the deployment of “smart” technologies, operating principles, and policies.

The projects, papers, posters, presentations, and events at the conference are focused on contributions to nurture, cultivate, and accelerate the adoption of IoT technologies and applications for the benefit of society.
